Micro switch is a switch with a small contact interval and a snap-action mechanism. It uses a specified stroke and a specified force to perform a switching action. It is covered with a housing and has a drive rod on the outside.
When the hook switch’s tongue is subjected to external force, it moves an internal lever, rapidly connecting or disconnecting electrical contacts in the circuit and controlling the flow of current. When the hook switch presses the actuator, the internal contacts rapidly switch states, opening and closing the circuit.
If the normally open (NO) contact of the switch is activated, current can flow. If the normally closed (NC) contact of the switch is activated, current is interrupted.
